4Baby: Granny Heart Baby Blanket Free Crochet Pattern

The Granny Heart Blanket is a wonderful example of how to approximate curved outlines using geometric shapes. In this case, the hearts are made using hexagons and their intersections. One larger one for the body of the heart and two smaller ones as the lobes. The author presents two ways of making the heart panels, a slow and steady one and a “wilder”, quick one. Both can be used to achieve this wonderful, and relatively easy, blanket that will be great for the little rug-rats play safely on. A link to the free pattern is at the end of the post.
